Directed by Gil Kenan and executive produced by Steven Spielberg and Robert Zemeckis, the film features the voices of Mitchel Musso, Sam Lerner, Spencer Locke, Steve Buscemi, Maggie Gyllenhaal, Jon Heder, Catherine O?Hara and Kathleen Turner. Its innovative performance-capture animation, creepy atmosphere and surprisingly emotional story helped it earn almost $142 million worldwide, as well as Academy Award and Golden Globe nominations for Best Animated Feature.
